In this conversation, we explore Maggie's journey as a climate communicator, author, and advocate for environmental justice. We also discuss Maggie's childhood influences, educational background, and her various experiences in conservation efforts. Maggie shares insights into her new book, Haiku and Hope: 50 States of Climate Change, which uses poetry to raise awareness about climate change.
The conversation covers Maggie's experience and how she gives back, including serving on the Board of Directors to Birdability, a new nonprofit connecting people with disabilities to the outdoors through birding and her and her pup's experience volunteering at the National Park Service.
Maggie shares what the writing process was like and how she approached getting "published". We agree on needing better leadership in addressing environmental issues and being stewards of the planet for future generations.
